THIS IS NOT JUST A CLASS
It’s a place to land, to soften, to reconnect. Here, movement becomes medicine. Sound becomes stillness. Strength becomes softness. Whether it’s your first time on the mat or your hundredth, this space will meet you gently, with intention and care.
Every session is designed to support your nervous system, not your performance.
From dynamic reformer flows to grounding yoga and restorative sound, this is movement that meets you where you are, and guides you where you’re ready to go.
SOUND
Lie down. Let go. Let the sound do the rest.
SOUND is our two-hour sound bath at Yoga Junkie HQ — gongs, bowls and voice moving through the room while you're held, gently, off the floor in a hammock. There's nothing to get right here. No experience needed, no flexibility required, no belief in anything at all. You just have to show up and let yourself be still.
Weekly (new from mid October) · Wednesdays 6.30–8.30pm · £40 drop-in
This autumn: SOUND with Kirstie
For six weeks this autumn, SOUND is in different hands - hands that have spent thirty years learning exactly what sound can do to a room.
Kirstie Roberts has supported Sir Brian May and Sir Roger Taylor of Queen, Tico Torres of Bon Jovi, Ronan Keating, Kerry Ellis, Beverly Knight MBE, Don Felder of the Eagles, Shakin Stevens, Billy Ocean and Lulu. She spent years in the late Sir Terry Wogan's house band on BBC Radio 2, and today she's the vocal coach shaping the voices on Y Llais. Twenty-seven years teaching voice - in schools, in universities, in choirs full of people who didn't know they could sing until she showed them they could.
All of that - the stages, the studios, the decades of listening for the note underneath the note - she now brings to a room with the lights down, where nobody is performing at all.
"What all of that taught me is that sound does something to the body long before it means anything to the mind. You feel a note before you understand it. That's what a sound bath works with."
Kirstie is also a Reiki practitioner - which is where the energetic side of her work sits - and a very proud mam to her ten-year-old son.
From 2 September to 14 October, every Wednesday, Kirstie holds SOUND on the studio floor: 90 minutes, no hammocks, gongs and bowls and tuning forks and that voice. Because the session is shorter, the drop-in price drops with it, to £30 - not included in membership.
"You do not sing, perform or do anything at all in a sound bath. You lie down and let the sound move through you. That is the whole of it."
SOUND returns to Debbie and the hammocks from 21 October.

Mums Movement
Six Wednesdays from 9 September
For once, mum comes first.
This is a workshop style class where your baby is genuinely welcome, and you are the focus. Not the person fitting herself around everyone else for an hour. You.
Week one incldes an open hearted conversation about what you actually need right now. Where your body feels different. What you have not had a spare moment to think about since your baby arrived. Everything that follows is shaped around your answers, rather than around what we assume you wan
Across the six weeks we draw on breathwork, your core, your strength, using mobility, barre, ballet and Pilates, alongside wellness support, honest conversation and time to simply be among women who understand this season.
Class 1, birth to prewalking
Wednesdays, 11.30am to 12.30pm
Starting 9 September, six weeks
£70 for the full block
15 spaces
Class 2, walkers
Wednesdays, 12.45pm to 1.45pm
Running straight after class 1, subject to demand*
*If enough mums with little ones on the move get in touch, class 2 will run alongside the first block from 9 September. Do let us know if that is you, as numbers decide whether it goes ahead.
What to know before you book
There are no additional carers on site. Your little one remains your responsibility throughout, and that is entirely as it should be. Feed, settle, pause, begin again. Nothing here needs to look tidy or go to plan.
We start the second week after school goes back on purpose, so mums with older children have time to settle into the new routine first.
The block is booked as a whole and payment secures your space. This lets us properly resource the six weeks with a dedicated teacher and keep the group small enough that everyone is seen.
There is a beautiful bistro on site serving healthy food, so if you would like to stay on for lunch and a proper chat afterwards, you are very welcome to.
Why the block, and why it works
This format began during covid, when a group of mums had nowhere else to go. That group still meets today, years later. Every version run since has done something similar, and mums tell us the friendships are often what they value most. Six weeks with the same faces is what allows that to happen.

YOGA & MAT PILATES
-
Step out of the rush and into a quieter rhythm. Expect slow, mindful movement with Ashtanga foundations, restorative postures, breathwork, and optional light sound therapy to balance energy. You’ll unwind body and mind, ease tension, and gather simple tools for self-care. Savasana closes with calming aromas.
-
Built on breath, fuelled by freedom. Spice is a dynamic, uplifting practice, a creative flow born from Rocket Yoga, blending strength, balance and curiosity. Expect playful progressions, steady challenge, and space to explore what your body is truly capable of. We move with purpose, not perfection. Breath steadies the fire; focus anchors the flight.
-
Strength with intention. Mat Pilates that shapes from the inside out, slow, precise, consistent. We’ll layer in intelligent props; magic circle to connect the inner line and shoulders, ball to support imprint and articulation, resistance bands to build reach and glutes, and light hand weights to layer endurance and control, add measured load and clear feedback.
-
For when you need to move it out. A fiery mat Pilates session that builds heat, challenges stamina, and leaves you feeling lighter. Strong foundations meet dynamic flow, this is where energy shifts and strength takes shape.
-
For the days you need to soften. A restorative mat class designed to lengthen, unwind, and bring you back to centre. Expect gentle mobility, breath-led release, and space to feel your way home in your body again.
-
A slow, floor-based practice with long-held, supported postures that gently access deeper tissues and settle the nervous system. Expect stillness, breath, and space to soften... no pushing, no performance, just a steady return to yourself.
-
A 90-minute hammock yin experience
Deeply restorative, using soft aerial suspension, low to the ground.
You are gently supported in fabric as the body begins to soften, release, and unwind. With gravity and partially lifted, the nervous system is invited into a quieter state, where holding begins to melt away and stillness becomes something you can feel, rather than find.
We move slowly through long-held yin shapes designed to release deep fascial tension, decompress the body, and invite profound rest. The hammock offers both support and surrender, allowing you to be held while doing less, and gradually, nothing at all.
This is a practice of softening into stillness. A gradual return to ease, held in air.
BARRE
-
For strength that feels graceful. A barre-inspired class that blends Pilates precision with the poise of ballet. Expect small, controlled movements that ignite deep muscles, tone the lower body, and lift your posture. It’s mindful, feminine strength, sculpted through rhythm, balance, and flow.
AERIAL
-
Float, breathe, and gently rewire how you feel in your body.
This workshop is for complete beginners who are curious about aerial but don’t fancy flinging themselves upside down on day one. We’ll keep the hammocks low, the pace kind, and the focus on feeling supported from the inside out.
Across two hours you’ll:
Learn the basics of aerial set-up, safety, and hammock etiquette
Explore simple breath and connection practices to settle your nervous system
Move through grounded shapes and gently supported stretches using the hammock as your anchor
Build a little strength, stability, and trust in your body (no ‘performance’ needed)
Drift into a floating guided meditation, with a sprinkling of sound therapy to soothe every last edge
Expect soft lighting, clear cues, and options for everything; you’re in charge of height, depth, and sway at all times.
You’ll leave feeling taller, lighter, and quietly proud that you tried something beautifully new.
-
A monthly aerial class blending yoga and Pilates, using the hammock for support, resistance, and decompression. Expect supported suspension to build strength, improve mobility, and gently elevate the heart rate without impact or overwhelm. Breath, rhythm, and traction encourage nervous system regulation, while the hammock allows you to work safely and confidently at your own pace.
Suitable for aerial workshop alumni or those with prior aerial experience.
REFORMER PILATES WORKSHOP
-
A two-hour Reformer Pilates workshop created for absolute beginners, your introduction to the Yoga Junkie Reformer series. You’ll learn how to move safely with confidence, explore breath-led alignment, and understand how spring resistance supports and challenges your body. Expect steady guidance, space to learn, and the satisfaction of finding strength in simplicity. This is where connection begins - calm, capable, and grounded.
REFORMER PILATES
-
Strong movement with softness in its edges. You’ll move through steady reformer sequences, guided by breath and awareness, building strength that feels supportive, not forceful. Springs rise or soften to meet your energy. Expect clear guidance, grounded control, and the quiet satisfaction of coming home to your body.
-
An invitation to move in rhythm with yourself. Flow finds balance between effort and ease, breath guiding each transition, strength unfolding with softness. You’ll tone, lengthen, and steady the body while creating space for calm. Leave taller, lighter, and reconnected to your own natural rhythm.
-
Heat that builds through focus and control. Fire uses the reformer’s spring resistance to sculpt, strengthen and awaken. We’ll layer in intelligent props, capsule-style hand weights, wavy bar, magic circle, soft Pilates ball, and wrist/ankle weights, to challenge different planes and deepen connection. You’ll feel your power build layer by layer; steady, graceful, unstoppable. Expect an energising lift and a quiet radiance that lingers long after you leave.
SOUND HEALING
-
Suspended in a silk hammock, the world begins to quiet. A gentle glow surrounds you as crystal bowls, chimes, voice, and silence weave through your body and breath. You are held in sound, not as background music, but as medicine. Breath softens. Time slows. Something shifts. Each vibration becomes a gentle reset, subtle, soothing, whole. And when the final note fades, all that’s left is stillness.
“THE SOUND HEALING WAS PURE MAGIC”
“I’ve never felt anything like it. The vibrations stayed with me for days. It wasn’t just calming, it was transformative.”
